Women of Church
Our Mission
To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Our Purpose
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.
Meetings
The Women of the Church meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm to discuss the Bible Study of the Lutheran Women Today magazine, "GATHER". Occasionally we meet at one of the nursing homes or the residence of one of our shut-ins for our meeting. If this is the case, it will be published in the News of the Flock on the Sunday before the monthly meeting.
Sewing Day
All are welcome to come to our sewing days held through out the year. The Quilts we make are sent to Lutheran World Relief. If you're not an experienced sewer, no problem! Come for the time of fellowship and we'll find something for you to do. We usually have lunch at noon as well, so bring a dish to share! Check the News of the Flock for the next sewing day!
Membership
All ladies of St. Paul are members of Women of the Church and ALL are most welcome to join us at any meeting.
